I have some mixed feelings....
Most of the materials look nice, and evoke a mini-Ferrari feel from the layout...
But that stereo and HVAC. Ugh.

That radio display looks like a cheap PowerPoint template

I think the lightness created here is negated by all of the displays...

steering wheel needs third spoke

Mid 90's GM? Anyways, the steering wheel, dash, door and everything else look beautiful.

I think they did a good job channeling the spirit of the Lotus Elise.

I knew that radio looked familiar…It's an unbranded Parrot Asteroid

no need for digital shit, thats the easier way to use an AC you put the max ac and the coldest temp

I am really not a fan of the red stitching. It looks quite tacky to me.

For 55k-60k I would pick it over a cayman!

Well, yeah, but you could design a better looking knob.

I wonder if you can get the steering wheel buttons to work if you swap in an Abarth wheel...

I can't wait to be too poor to afford this!!!!!
JK, my bachelors degree will surely prepare me for the real world.

So it's a 2,000 lb mid-engine Alfa Romeo that is coming to America, and you guys are complaining about the HVAC knobs and air vents?
![]() 09/23/2013 at 21:25 |

Yup. That's what we do.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still thrilled and neither of those things are a deal breaker, for the most part I really dig the interior. I just think the bits in that center console really stick out as cheap and tacky.

Huh, came here to say the same thing - good eye!

All those displays are balanced out by the lightness here, is another way of looking at it.

Better power-to-weight ratio=very well-justified decision. However, and I never thought I'd say this, I'm not sure the Alfa is better looking than the Cayman.

Poor man's Ferrari?
But dear god some of the details suck for a supposedly $50k car. Door handles? Nopes. (Inspiration Porsche GT3RS?) Those darn vents. That cheap ass centre console (Radio?) Also, no on-wheel buttons? What is this. 1990?

My 2005 B6 A4 didn't have buttons. I loved that steering wheel.

That looks ordinarily extraordinary. Sort of like a supercar's dashboard cloaked with shit from a regular family car. Not sure what to think.

this is crap, they should have matched the window buttons and mirror buttons with the 2 buttons to the right of it and 4 in front of it. Stainless bezels FTW.

Agreed, this car is Italian and not inexpensive. They could have done better on some of the interior bits. Heck the 500 Abarth vents, buttons, etc. look nicer.

The steering wheel looks...weird. The HVAC looks cheap. The radio looks alright to me, but I thought I saw one with a larger screen as well.
All I know is I want one. Hopefully lots of Americans buy them, I want some cheap ones in 10 years.
